Lecture and Experiential Workshop with Fereshteh Toosi
Following a brief introduction to environmental and eco-art practices, artist Fereshteh Toosi will guide the audience in an experiential workshop outdoors, weather permitting.
Fereshteh Toosi designs experiences and objects using hybrid approaches that combine images, sounds, movement, and found materials. Toosi’s participatory art work takes many forms ranging from oyster mushroom sculptures, films processed in mint tea and yeasts, and guided walks about the lithium mining industry. Toosi is an Assistant Professor in the Art and Art History Department of the College of Communication, Architecture, and the Arts at Florida International University.
This event is free to the public. Complimentary beverages will be served.
