Frank Contemporaries is a pop-up exhibition showcasing emerging artists and creative community resources; an event that offers artists, students, arts professionals and industry insiders the opportunity to present their work, discover new peers and supporters, and foster professional connections.
This month's Frank Contemporaries will be a special edition in honor of Black History Month, featuring the multimedia string artworks of Jamaican artist Michelle S. Drummond, resident artist at The Arts Warehouse arts incubator in Delray Beach. This event will include a musical performance by Art Prevails Project vocal artist JaShae L. Jones, as well as a presentation on urban innovation, growth and transformation by the representatives of URGENT Inc., a 501 (c) (3) Miami-based youth and community development organization dedicated to empowering young minds to transform their communities through education, film, arts, entrepreneurship and more. Finally, URGENT Inc. students will be showcasing artwork from their recent “Our Voice Matters” illustration project.
This event is free to the public. Complimentary refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
