Artist Marina Gonella will teach students how to celebrate their own cities through urban artmaking techniques! Using photos of their cities, neighborhoods and environment, students will learn how to layer different media and will apply creative drawing methods to create collage-like imaginary cityscapes.
Born in Chicago and raised in Argentina, Marina is a mixed media artist who currently lives and works in Florida. She received a degree in painting from the School of Fine Arts Pridiliano Pueyrredón (Buenos Aires) and she completed further studies at IUNA (Instituto Universitario Nacional de Las Artes, Buenos Aires). Marina is a resident artist at Laundromat Art Space, an Artist Residency Program & Exhibition Space for professional Miami artists in downtown Little Haiti.
