Presented in partnership with National Geographic, Into Africa highlights the wonders of wild Africa as seen through the lens of photographer Frans Lanting. Guests will be visually transported from the savannas of East Africa, to the jungles of the Congo Basin, to the paradise of Madagascar and into the heart of the Kalahari Desert.
May 24 – June 29, 2019: The Frank presents an exhibition by the art students of URGENT Inc., a Miami-based non-profit youth and community development organization dedicated to empowering young minds to transform their communities through visual arts, poetry, and performance. Reception: Friday, May 24, 2019, 6 – 9 PM.
July 6 – August 10, 2019: The Frank showcases photographic works capturing the flora and fauna of Africa by international nature photographer and researcher, Kirsten Hines. Reception: Thursday, July 25, 2019, 6 – 8 PM.
Please join The Frank for the opening reception of Into Africa. Reception guests will enjoy a special performance by students of the flagship ‘Rhythms of Africa’ program at West Broward High School, led by musician and director Willie Stewart. Free to the public. Complimentary refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
