Learn beading methods, discover African dance techniques and make music together in this free family-friendly workshop led by dancer and art educator Anita Macbeth! Students of all ages will create unique beaded jewelry and learn an African dance routine together alongside an experienced dance troupe.
Currently teaching dance at Bethune Elementary School of Visual and Performing Arts, Anita Macbeth has choreographed for the Bronx Council of the Arts, New York Housing Authority, and more. Anita is a former member of the Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble and Forces of Nature Dance Company, and she was Miami Dade College’s Artistry in Rhythm honoree for 2018.
This event is free to the public. All materials provided. No prior experience required. All ages welcome.
