The Frank Aisles features a solo exhibition by artist Natalya Kochak featuring mixed-media artwork from her My Family Anti-Autobiography series. These works seek to break down conventional thought around difficult stories and discuss the complexities of being an American. Her own familial history, art history, and conventional history are the source materials she uses to contemplate a trajectory forward and tell her own story through the lens of a new author. Natalya Kochak was born in New York and has since spent time in many different places, from Alabama to Chicago, Berlin to Beijing. She graduated with her BFA and MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and now teaches at Miami International University.
