As a Ft. Lauderdale native, Stephanie McMillan seeks to celebrate South Florida’s edible and medicinal plants by anthropomorphizing our local flora and fauna in “Our Loving World”. McMillan’s vivacious use of color and unique use of shapes and forms culminate in what she describes as the “cute-ification” of plants and animals. By adding faces, eyes, and cartoon features to her work, she grabs the attention of all members of our community and transports them into “Our Loving World”.
