Perseverance is an exhibition featuring South Florida artists, curated by Veronica Gort. Though aware of the ephemerality tied to human creation, these artists continue to make work, why? What does it mean to keep going? To be an artist? It’s not about the finish line, but about staying present in uncertainty–showing up again and again, even when the path is unclear.
For artists, perseverance is embedded in process . It unfolds through repetition and rebuilding. It's a belief. It's risk-taking. It’s a certain kind of curiosity about the fragile human experience that can only be explored through creation. To breathe life into something inert and materialize what was once intangible. This exhibition brings together work that holds tension–between making and unmaking, presence and disappearance–foregrounding practices rooted in curiosity, courage, and connection.
